Marriage & Wedding
We are honored to be part of your journey as you prepare for one of life’s most sacred commitments, marriage. At Good Shepherd Assembly of God (GSAG), P.J, we believe that marriage is a divine covenant and a beautiful expression of God’s love. To ensure your wedding day reflects the sacredness of this commitment, we have established some important guidelines.
Before your wedding, we require couples to attend pre-marital counseling with one of our pastors. This preparation will guide you in building a strong, lasting foundation for your marriage.
We encourage couples to be baptized Christians or share the same faith. If one partner is not a Christian, our pastors are happy to offer guidance in navigating this important step in your relationship.
Couples seeking to marry at our church are encouraged to be active members of our congregation. For non-members, please consult with our church office for further details.
We hold weddings in our church to honor the sacred nature of the union. The ceremony will include scripture readings, prayer, and a blessing, centered on the love of Christ.
Our church upholds the value of sexual purity before marriage. We believe that marriage is a covenant before God, meant to be a lifelong commitment.
All couples must meet the legal requirements for marriage, including obtaining a marriage license. Please bring the necessary documentation to the church prior to the ceremony.
All wedding ceremonies must be approved by our pastors or leadership team. This ensures that couples are spiritually and emotionally prepared for the commitment of marriage.
We aim to keep the wedding ceremony reverent and focused on the sanctity of the marriage covenant. Music choices, decorations, and attire should reflect the sacredness of the occasion.
If you have been previously married, we ask that you meet with a pastor to discuss your specific situation. We provide guidance and support in understanding the biblical principles surrounding divorce and remarriage.

We look forward to being a part of your special day and supporting you in your commitment to a Christ-centered marriage.
