2 Kings 5:1-3 Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper. 2 And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. 3 Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”
This girl was brought ‘captive’ from the land of Israel, to work as a maid to the wife of Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria. She was in a foreign land with strange people, yet she saw a need, her master was a leper. She makes use of this opportunity to witness about God who does great miracles through the prophet Elisha. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, after setting free a man who was demon possessed tells him to go to his friends and tell the great things that the Lord has done for him. We too have experienced God’s miracles in our lives, whenever an opportunity comes our way, we must be bold to witness. May God the Holy Spirit be with you throughout the week and bless you tremendously.
Mark 5:18-20 18 And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. 19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” 20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marvelled.
